“Are very old pyramids and were built by an advanced civilization thousands of years ago. Scientists don’t want want to take them into consideration for various reasons. ” You’ll find many such opinions. Usually “ignoring” is attributed the obtusiness of scientists or some planetary conspiracy.
Certainly the most famous mysterious pyramids are the ones in Bosnia. Bosnian Semir Osmanagić, who lived many years in the USA where is or was the owner of a metallurgical company, firmly believes in them and promote them so effectively that they become thriving tourist attractions. He discovered them in 2005 near the town of Visoko, a town located at north-west of Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Especially a hill called the hill Visocica, attracted his attention. Watching it carefully from the right angle, he concluded that the hill is not a natural formation, but one made by human. Rather it is a pyramid, which he called the Pyramid of the Sun. Studying aerial and satellite photographs ,
Osmanagić also found at least two other pyramids on the nearby hills : Pyramid of the Moon and the Pyramid of the Dragon [Bosnian]. Very soon after these discoveries, Osmanagić requested and obtained the approval to conduct excavations in the area. Initial was rather geological exploration, which reinforced his belief that he deal with some artificial construction.
“Pyramid of the Sun”
The excitement of the discovery was very big and, therefore, our man has set up a foundation that aims the pyramids archaeological research that he discovered. He didn’t neglected the promotion by modern media, so many people were excited to the mystery represented by the pyramids, which Osmanagić claims that are older than the Egyptian.
He received numerous private funding, and substantial amounts from the Bosnian government, which helped him to trigger a series of excavations. All these have helped to strengthen his belief that the pyramids are real, made by humans, and aren’t just some natural formations, some trivial hills.
If I just wanted to throw only some irony on Osmanagić, to only shape the character, so no longer need any other documentation, I would give the following quote from the book The World of the Maya published by him in 2005: “Mayan hieroglyphs tell us that our ancestors came from the Pleiades […] arrived in Atlantis and founded an advanced civilization. […] Mayans can be considered as watchmakers of the cosmos whose mission is to adjust the frequency of the Earth and to harmonize it with the vibrations of the sun. […] Once the frequency will harmonize the Earth through the Sun, will be connected with the center of the galaxy. This is exceptional considering that December 2012 is approaching , the date on which the Mayans have marked it as a time of the arrival of Galactic Energy Cluster which will enlighten us”.
Obviously, irony thrown upon our character can not serve as an argument. It is possible that an eccentric man, a paranormal, an ardent supporter of pseudoscience, or anyone you want, to make a real and important discovery. It is true, the probability is very low, but not impossible. Do not forget this: in search of the truth matter the evidence, not the man who brings them.
Bosnian Pyramids were built by humans or some natural formations? I said earlier that the excavations conducted in the area convinced Osmanagić, and with him, a lot of enthusiasts that truly discovered pyramids built by the hands of ancient humans.
But what did the bosnian discovered? He discovered extraordinary things: a road paved with rectangular slabs of stone that leads to the Pyramid of the Sun, huge blocks of rectangular stone form, tunnels crossing pyramid etc.
Images published by him are quite convincing. Convincing since no account is taken of the geological history of the place. In the Smithsonian Magazine in December 2009, the geological history of the area is summarized as follows: “[The area] was formed about ten million years ago, when began to rise the mountains of the Central Bosnia, [forming a valley], which was flooded. Thus, resulted a 65 km long lake. In the next million years, as the mountains continued to rise, [erosion] made that on the bottom of the lake to settles layers upon layers of sediment. If you dig in the valley today, you will find layers of different thicknesses, some very thin , clay (deposited in quiet periods) to thick layers of sandstone or conglomerate (sedimentary rocks resulting from the transport of rock debris by the rivers in the area). Subsequent tectonic activity produced the failure of sections of the former lake bottom, resulting in angular shaped hills, and through fragmentation of the layers of sediment resulted tiles of sandstone and conglomerates blocks”.
In the same article that I have just quoted, Paul Heinrich, a geologist at Louisiana State University shows that ” landform” [which Osmanagić calls] pyramid is common. In the USA we call it “flatiron” and we find it in the west [of the USA]. […] All over the world there are hundreds of such formations, including “Russian Twin Pyramids”, near Vladivostok. ”
True, the road paved with stone leading to the Pyramid of the Sun seems to be very impressive and convincing. But if you look at it with little attention, you can not fail to notice a small detail. Tile surface is wavy, and “waves” appear from one on another plate. This immediately take to the point that they have been naturally formed through the process of sedimentation, followed by fracturing. In fact such structures that are emerging can be seen in many places, such as those on Tasmania island shore .
What about the tunnels? Osmanagić claims that the area has a vast network of tunnels. In fact the existence of this network is just presumed. In the Science magazine, the number of 22 September 2006, 1718, was published an article dedicated to the Bosnian Pyramids.
Here is quoted the bosnian geologist Stjepan Coric, who works at the University of Vienna. He says: “If they are made by people, without determining their age, then I can assume that they are part of an old mine.” I have to tell you that the Zenica-Sarajevo area, in which is the Visoko city , has been in the past an important mining area. As for the vast network of tunnels presumed by Osmanagić, I can tell you that beyond his claims there is no proof”.
Speaking of evidence, at least at some point something unacceptable happened in science. I quote again from the article from Science: “Recently an official of the municipality of Visoko said that all critics of Osmanagić project shouldn’t have access to the locations investigated [by him].”
Besides amateurish excavations conducted by the team of amateur of Osmanagić jeopardize important archaeological sites in the area. Among other things, in the Visoko area are at least five neolithic settlements, which must be protected. I quote again from the article published in Science in September 22, 2006:
“An european archaeologist working in Bosnia and that was at the site says that” There is a real wall there, but seems to be rather a potion from a rain water tank built in the Middle Ages “. The archaeologist, who wishes to remain anonymous for fear of losing the right to work in the country, told us he would not be surprised to discover traces of human habitation in the area as “people have lived here for millennia”. But after Osmanagić began to dig, “no one can know what is really here.” True archaeological materials lies between the surface and bedrock layer “but for pyramids hunter , they are just trash and are thrown”. [In turn,] Osmanagić says he is aware that he digs in archaeological layers and claims the results will be published “in a scientific magazine” in November [2006]”.
I don’t know if he published something, but, as befits such a character, Osmanagić added firmly: ” I’m not interested in gettng the approval of scientific elite. This is a project for the people. ”
It is typical this last statement, which in various forms, we find it here. By the way, I recently found out that we have a pyramid similar to the bosnian. Is in Rasnov… it couldn’t be otherwise. In fact, the history belly of human civilization is hidden in our Carpathians. It is so well hidden that you must abandon the search method used by scientists to discover it.
